GGC provide a of range site based geotechnical services including site investigations, earthworks monitoring, and construction support. We are adept at planning and executing site work in a range of difficult conditions and environments.
Our fundamental belief is that geotechnical investigations should be undertaken to confirm the ground conditions and material properties and behaviour, and as such we undertake investigations to target particular and project specific issues. This pragmatic approach provides value for our clients and a more robust application of geotechnical engineering. We utilise a variety of investigation techniques including hand augers, test pits, infiltration testing, electric cone penetrometer testing, and boreholes.

We provide ‘Level 2 Earthworks Supervision’ for earthworks projects. Typically, we work with the Earthworks Contractor throughout the construction phase, carrying out site inspections, bulk and civil earthworks verification and testing, providing solutions for the onsite reuse of materials, and sign off on the completion of earthworks to a geotechnical standard.

We are frequently involved in providing onsite construction support for civil and mining projects. We undertake cut slope inspections, identify, assess and verify borrow materials, provide method specifications for earthworks, and provide solutions for unforeseen ground conditions.
